Eileen Bryant Price, 96, of Lynchburg passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016. She was the loving wife of the late Edward Reynolds Price.
Born on April 7, 1919, Eileen was a daughter of the late Charles A. Bryant and the late Margaret Reilly Bryant. Eileen was an active member of Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church for many years. She also worked as a bookkeeper for Lynchburg Physicians and Surgeons. Some of her joys in life included music, working in her garden, and traveling.
In addition to her husband and parents, Eileen was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Edward Price; her sister, Margie Burks; two brothers, William Bryant and James Bryant; and her infant sister, Marguerite Bryant. Marguerite died at the age of six months, but her body was never moved to Virginia when her parents moved in 1922 to Colleen, Va. Marguerite was the first child of Margaret and Charlie Bryant, and was born on January 13, 1918.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Russell D. Price; her niece, Debbie Fuller; three nephews, Mike Bryant, David Bryant, and Charlie Bryant; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Bryant and Beth Bryant; and her cousin, Mary Jane Bryant Cook.
A graveside service will be held at Fort Hill Memorial Park on Friday, March 4, 2016, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Bart Edwards officiating.
