Elaine Johnston Burnette, 89, of Lynchburg passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2011, in Lynchburg.
Born in Perth Australia, she was a daughter of the late Madeline Eliza Johnston and John David Johnston.
In addition to her parents Ms. Burnette was preceded in death by her two sons: Newton Edward Burnette and Michael John Burnette; a granddaughter: Dawn Thomas; three brothers and three sisters.
Ms. Burnette is survives by her daughter in-law: Judy Burnette, of Forest; two grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 1, 2011 in St. Stephens Episcopal Church Cemetery with Fr. R. Christopher Heying officiating.
