She enjoyed the outdoors: swimming, fishing, the beach, reading an enjoyable book, and attending WVU football games. She loved to travel and when you said go, she would be packing her bags.

She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, Richwood, WV for 94 years having attended since age one. After graduating from Glenville State College with a BA in Education she began teaching Kindergarten at Cherry River Elementary School for 22 years. While teaching, she also graduated from West Virginia University with a MA Degree plus 45 hours. Weaver (Becky); grandchildren: Joe Weaver, Claudia Peek, Greg Zirkle, Jeff Zirkle, and Stuart Smith; 9 great-grandchildren, Brother: Bill (Wanda) Mills, nieces, and nephews and many loving friends in West Virginia and Virginia.

Thank you to Runk & Pratt SML Staff for your care all these years. When she first moved in, she would be walking all over the place, then things began to change for her. She had wonderful care from Medi Home Health and Hospice Staff, her Hospice Nurse Gwen and her three special care givers, Tamie, Elizabeth, and Moriah who all made her life worth living even to the very end.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to: First Baptist Church, 9 West Walnut Street, Richwood, WV 26261 or to: Cherry River Elementary School, 190 Riverside Drive, Richwood, WV 26261, marked for “Kindergarten Funds.”
