Eleanor Lee Mills Weaver

Eleanor Lee Mills, 95, formerly of Moneta, VA and Richwood, WV passed away on January 22, 2024. While living in the Moneta area, she attended Radford Baptist Church, Moneta, VA and Living Word Baptist Church, Forest, VA with her children. She grew up and lived many years in Richwood, WV where she taught Kindergarten at Richwood Grade School and Cherry River Elementary School. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, Richwood, WV for 94 years. 

She is survived by her children: Tom L. (Brenda) Weaver II, Kathy (J.P.) Smith, Linda Zirkle, Judy (Stephen) Smith, and Jim (Becky) Weaver; and her brother, Bill (Wanda) Mills. Also surviving are grandchildren, great grandchildren, many nephews, nieces, and loving friends.

 A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at the Radford Baptist Church, 1293 Radford Church Road, Moneta, VA 24121. Visitation begins at 10:00 am with the Service starting at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to: First Baptist Church, 9 West Walnut Street, Richwood, WV 26261 or to: Cherry River Elementary School, 190 Riverside Drive, Richwood, WV 26261, marked for “Kindergarten Program.”  Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford, VA is assisting the family.
