Mary Elizabeth Epperson Pryor Hall, 89, of Lynchburg died Monday June 27, 2011.  Twice widowed, her first husband was the late William Emmett Pryor, Jr. and the late Percy Thomas Hall.

Elizabeth was born June 12, 1922 in Gladys a daughter of the late John Leslie Epperson and Janie Poindexter Epperson. Elizabeth graduated from Brookville High School and attended Randolph-Macon Women\"™s College. She worked as a sales associate for Heronimus for many years, was a former volunteer at Virginia Baptist Hospital, a past member of the Fort Hill Women\"™s Club, and was a member of Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by a devoted sister-in-law, Louise Epperson of Lynchburg; a special nephew and caregiver Dan Epperson and wife, Judith of Forest; a special niece and caregiver, Jane Roark and husband, John of Lynchburg; eight great-nieces and nephews; 16 great-great-nieces and nephews; three great-great-great-nieces and nephew.

In addition to both her husbands and parents she was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters; Lewis W. Epperson, Ethel M. Epperson Hawks, Martha Lee Epperson Carter, Anna Ruth Epperson, John D. Epperson, James W. Epperson, and Carlton R. Epperson.

A Celebration of Elizabeth\"™s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Tharp Funeral Home, Chapel Lynchburg with the Rev. Luke Farwell officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg, and all other times at her niece\"™s home 114 Wyndsong Place, Lynchburg.

The family would like to give special thanks for the wonderful care given over the years to the staff at the Carrington Nursing Home.
