Elizabeth Hawkins Kirby, 60 of Lynchburg, won her battle with cancer, on Friday, June 24, 2016, at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born Monday, July 18, 1955 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Carlyle Hawkins and the late Lura Ashworth Hawkins.
Beth was a hard worker with an amazing sense of humor, retired from Barker Jennings,
she was a member of Unity in the Seven Hills and enjoyed camping, great friends, and lived her life to the fullest.
Surviving are her children, Robert Kirby and Nicole of Forest, and Suzanne Erickson of Lynchburg, VA; brother, C. D. Hawkins of Appomattox, VA; sisters, Susan Wilson and Dave of Wilmington, NC and Sarah Slagle & Bill of Appomattox , VA; two amazing grandchildren: Harris and Ocie Erickson; four special friends: Paula, Pam, Lynn and Carolyn.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2016 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A private service will be held at Myrtle Beach at a later date.
In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial contribution to Pearson Cancer Center, Lynchburg, VA.
