Elizabeth Ann Pruitt Irby

Elizabeth Ann Pruitt Irby, 75, of Gretna, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024. She was born on June 7, 1949, in Danville, Virginia to the late Raleigh and Pearl B. Pruitt. 

She was a member of the Gideon auxiliary in the Pittsylvania County North Camp organization. 

Ann is survived her loving husband Frank Raymond Irby, daughter, Melinda Irby and husband Allen Boyles; grandson, Michael Allen Boyles; brother-in-law, Paul James Irby and Hurbert Keatts; sisters-in-laws, Mamie Pritchett and Jamie Keatts; and numerous nieces, nephews, church family, and many friends who loved her dearly

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by one brother, Martin Pruitt; and two sisters, Peggy Epperson and Sarah Ottinger. 

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Spring Road Baptist Church, Gretna, with Pastor Brian Faison and Pastor Ronnie Simpson officiating. 

Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, is assisting the family.
