Elizabeth Jane Jennings

Elizabeth Jane Jennings, 82, of Lynchburg, died on Friday, March 4, 2011.  She was the wife of the late Frank Jennings, Jr.  Elizabeth was born in Floyd County on August 15, 1928, a daughter of the late Louise Edgar and the late Mary Howell Hylton.

 

She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Farrar Johnson and her  husband, Joseph of Lynchburg and Linda Farrar Messner and her husband, Gary of King, NC; three sisters, Maryanne Hamlett of Lynchburg, Charleen Tweedy and her husband, Melvin of Lynchburg and Nancy Lacy and her husband, Aubrey of Lynchburg; six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.

 

Elizabeth was retired from General Electric and Ericsson. She was also a member of Old Forest Road Baptist Church.

 

The family will receive friends Monday, March 7, 2011 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, from 7-9:00 P.M., and other times at her residence.  A Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg with Pastor Jack Barrett officiating.  Interment will follow at Spring Hill Memorial Park.
