Elizabeth Jones Perrow

April 6, 1936 — November 8, 2022

Elizabeth Jones “Betsy” Perrow , 86, of Lynchburg, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, November 8, 2022.

Betsy was born on April 6, 1936, grew up in Lynchburg, graduated from E.C. Glass High School in 1954, and following in 1958, Hollins College.  She was an active member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, the Lynchburg Garden Club and volunteered for many civic organizations.  She enjoyed raising her two children and adored spending time with her three grandsons.  Betsy had a love for reading, gardening, and card games, she always looked forward to playing bridge with her friends.

Betsy was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, W. Stephen Perrow, II (Steve).

Betsy is survived by Waller S. Perrow, III & Kelly E. Drinkard of Smith Mountain Lake, Sarah Elizabeth & Ricky Sterne of Lynchburg, and their three sons; Joesph Sterne (UVA), Row Sterne (W&L), and Alex Sterne (VES). She also leaves behind her sister, Linda Hope of Georgia, sister Robin Crouch of Tennessee, and brother Bob Jones of Maryland.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Westminster Canterbury for their compassionate care for Betsy and her family.

A memorial service will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at 2:00 PM.  The family will receive friends at a reception at Boonsboro Country Club immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution to the Westminster Canterbury Foundation, or St. John’s Episcopal Church.
