Ella “Joanne” Fulks Millner
Ella Joanne Millner, 84 of Coleman Falls, passed on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Lynchburg General Hospital in Lynchburg. She was the wife of the late Dewey Rudell Millner.
Joanne was born Friday, June 14, 1929 in Lynchburg, to the late Carter Fulks and the late Margaret Falwell Fulks.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by: a grandson: Steven Bryant, two nephews Carter Higdon and Jason Fulks, a brother and sister in law: Russell and Edith Fulks.
She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and had been it the retail business most of her life.
Joanne is survived by her children: Joella Bryant and John of Peachtree Corners, GA, a son: Dewey \"D.R.\" Millner and Sheila Rice of Coleman Falls, a sister: Sara Donegan of Greenwood Village, CO, Three brothers: Gerald Fulks of Amherst, Warren Fulks of Hollywood, MD and Marion Fulks of Lynchburg., four nephews: Todd Fulks and Karen, Tadd Fulks and Lois, Reed Fulks, Steven Fulks, three nieces: Brenda Moore and Jerry, Tara Anglin, and Melaine Colvin and Mike. She also leaves a host of family members and wonderful longtime friends: Frank, Jane, and Lee
A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory located at 220 Breezewood Drive Lynchburg, Virginia 24502 with the Rev. Msgr. J. Kenneth Rush officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home.
