Ella Williams, 82, of Lynchburg, VA, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014.

Born July 23, 1931 in Lynchburg, VA; she was a daughter of the late Tazewell P. Jackson and Lucy Adams Jackson.

Ella Williams was described by her family as a true “Southern Lady,” which was evident in the generosity and graciousness that she exhibited to everyone. The focus of Ella’s life was her complete and absolute commitment to The Lord. Ella demonstrated her love for The Lord through her devotion to caring for her family and serving as a living example of His love and grace for others in need. She was a kind a nurturing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her former husband Dabney C. Loving and their two daughters, Marion L. Coleman (Bill), and Kim L. Brafford (Rick) all of Lynchburg; four grandchildren, Chris Walters (Marissa) of Denver CO, Ricky Brafford, Jr. (Sami), Marion Glass-Hedgepeth (Banks), and Asher Brafford, all of Lynchburg; four great-grandchildren, Coleman Walters, Maya Walters, Henry Glass, and Olive Hedgepeth; and a sister-in-law Gloria C. Jackson. She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at 4:00 p.m, at The Lighthouse Foursquare Church, 3301 Fort Ave Lynchburg, VA, 24501, with Rick Brafford officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Interment will be private at Spring Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, 1160 Pepsi Place, Charlottesville, VA 22901.
