Ellen Elizabeth Vaughan Reasons

Ellen Elizabeth Vaughan Reasons, 78, of Rustburg, died Wednesday, April 07, 2010.  She was the wife of the late Joseph Donald Reasons.

Ellen was born Tuesday, July 14, 1931 a daughter of the late Carter Vaughan and the late Essie Vaughan.  Before her retirement, she was office manager for Dr. David Riley in Rustburg.

She is survived by her children, Donnette \"Donna\" Reynolds, and her husband, Tony of Madison Heights and David Lee Reasons, of Yorktown; her grandchildren, Jeremy Adam Reynolds, Christopher Earl Reynolds, Zachary Joseph Reynolds, and Morgan Lee Reynolds, all of Madison Heights, her brother, Ted Vaughan and wife, Hilda, of CO and her sisters; Pauline Thompson, of FL, Annie Mae Savage, of NV, Mary Lee Mortimer and husband, Ken, of FL, and Claudine Pugh and husband, Odell, of Lynchburg; and her sister-in-law, Diane Vaughan, of Lynchburg.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Vaughan.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 11, 2010 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.  A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 12, 2010 at Heritage Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Gerald Kroll officiating.  Interment will follow in Cumbie Memorial Cemetery in Rustburg
