Elois Loretta Jefferson Morris, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister earned her heavenly wings on Saturday, September 30, 2023. She was born in Bedford Country, VA on February 15, 1952, to the late Benjamin Leroy Jefferson, Sr. and Edith Davis Jefferson. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, James Jefferson and Benjamin Leroy Jefferson, Jr. and two sisters, Texanna Jefferson Watson and Lola Jefferson Cooper.
Elois was educated in the Bedford County School system and graduated from Susie B. Gibson High School. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Holcomb Rock Baptist Church until her death.
She was an employee of Boonsboro Country Club, retiring after 41 years of service. After retirement, she worked part-time with Lynchburg City Schools. Elois loved traveling with her family, gardening and taking care of others. Elois was a loving and caring person, devoted, mother, grandmother and friend, always thinking of others first.
She leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted daughter and son-in-law, Kim Morris Walker and Langston, Jr. of Chesterfield, VA; two grandsons, Logan Walker and Benjamin Walker of Chesterfield, VA; one sister, Doris Cunningham of Fayetteville, NC and two devoted friends, Betty Horsley and Ronald Tucker of Lynchburg, VA, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was loved dearly and will be deeply missed.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Holcomb Rock Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
