Else Anna Schaefer
Else Anna Schaefer, 104, of Lynchburg died Thursday November 8, 2012. She was the loving wife of the late Henry John Schaefer.
Else was born May 10, 1908 in Chemnitz, Germany a daughter of the late Albert Opp and the late Ottillia Meisner Opp. Else came to the United States when she was very young to New York City. She later retired to West Palm Beach, Florida and ended her days in Lynchburg. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her children: Thea Delco and her husband Ludwig of Tuckahoe, NY, and Henry A. Schaefer and his wife Betty of Lynchburg, five grandchildren: Albert and Kenneth Delco, June Ann Johnston, John H. Schaefer, and Virginia Lee Cordier, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
The family will hold a private memorial service for Else at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg.
