Elwood “Butch” Franklin Magann, of Lynchburg died Monday July 27, 2015 at his home, he was the devoted husband of Rachel Woody Magann.
Butch was born in Lynchburg on August 7, 1946 a son of the late Frank Howard Magann and the late Ruby Viar Magann. Butch honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a retired construction foreman.
In addition to his wife he was survived by his children: Sterling Franklin Magann of Las Vegas, NV, Lisa Marie Magann of California, Julie Grubbs of Lynchburg, Aziah Nicole Magann of Lynchburg, and Calvert James Crawford of Lynchburg, two brothers, Frank “Sonny” Martin Magann of Edenburg, and William “Billy” Arthur Magann of Lynchburg, several grandchildren including: Jerame Shane Crawford Grubbs and Justin Michael Wright, and all his wife’s side of the family.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Thomas Lewis Magann.
