Emily Cannon Wilson

Emily Cannon Winter Wilson, 65, of Lynchburg died Tuesday April 9, 2013 she was the loving wife of Dale Wilson, Sr.

Emily was born January 30, 1948 in Alton, Illinois a daughter of the late William Harvey Cannon, Sr. and Vivian Ballinger Cannon. Emily was a devoted homemaker and member of the Trinity A.M. E. Church.

In addition to her husband she is survived by three brothers: William H. Cannon, Sr. of Calif., Thomas R. Cannon and his wife Sharon of Alton, Ill., and Herbert L. Cannon of WY, and one sister Barbara Koontz of Alton, Ill.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers James M. Cannon and Andrew L. Cannon.

A memorial service for Emily will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday April 12, 2013 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg with Dr. Monty Fox officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
