Emory C. “Chip” Justis Jr. joined our Lord in heaven on December 14, 2016.
Chip was 69 years of age and was the son of the late Emory C. Justis Sr. and Clara Minnick Justis of Lynchburg.
He is survived by his wife Sandra R. Justis, two sons, Donivan L. “DJ” Justis and his wife, Tonya Phillips Justis of Lynchburg, Emory C. “Chip Jr.” Justis and his wife, Charlotte Moore Justis of Lynchburg, a much beloved stepson Terry G. Ratcliffe of Rustburg, stepson Kevin Ratcliffe of Pembroke, Va.; three grandchildren, Nathan, Blake and Kinsley Justis of Lynchburg, and step-grandchildren, Kinsley Phillips of Lynchburg, Chelsea Phillips of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Dylan Phillips of Amity, Alaska, a much loved grandson Caleb Levi Ratcliffe of Christiansburg, Va., who was very near & dear to his heart; and one sister, Joycelyn Justis Wood of Roanoke, Va., and one niece and one nephew.
Chip’s beloved dogs and cats Kaos, Lucy, Jaz, KitKat, Shadow, and Orange will miss their human daddy.
He was a proud American who served in the armed forces. Chip retired from Flowserve/Limitorqe after 44 years of employment. Chip and Sandy are members of Yellow Branch Baptist Church.
