Emory Lee Noell, Jr., 84, of Lynchburg passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2016.
He was the loving husband of Jeannine Mays Noell for 57 years.
Emory was born in Lynchburg on June 26, 1932, a son of the late Emory Noell, Sr. and Mary Mildred Jones Noell. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and retired from Cherry Point Air Station where he worked as a design draftsman and data technician.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Tony Parker Noell of Swansboro, N.C., Lisa Lee Noell of Lynchburg, and David Wayne Noell and wife, Faith, of Plymouth, N.C.; grandchildren: Jason Noell, Keith Noell, Elizabeth Romine, Daniel Romine, Andrew Noell, and Anna Grace Noell, and a brother, Robert Wayne Noell and sister-in-law, Kristy Noell of Lynchburg; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Lee Hughes and Sarah Harris.
A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Fort Hill Memorial Park with Reverend Dr. James Hagwood officiating.
