Ercy Lee Bondurant, 74, of Lynchburg, Va., went to be with the Lord Friday, October 27, 2017. She was the loving wife of the late Ernest Cecil Bondurant, Jr.
Ercy was born August 19, 1943 in Lynchburg, Va. a daughter of the late Ercy Scott and the late Shirley Scott. She worked as a teacher’s assistant for nearly 20 years with Lynchburg City Schools.
Ercy is survived by her sons, Ernest Bondurant, III (Shannon) and Eric Bondurant (Tammy); seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Tommy W. Scott (Clara), Garnett Scott (Linda), Sherriel Howard (Eddie); many nieces and nephews; and her neighbors who were like family, The Grays.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Paul W. Scott.
No services will be held as requested by Ercy.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
