Erik Kennedy Frank, 58, of Forest, VA, died Thursday, November 08, 2018. He was the husband of Lorri Lee Frank.
Born Friday, December 04, 1959 in Syracuse, NY, Erik was a son of the late Dr. Thomas Stolley Frank and Elizabeth Kennedy Frank. Erik graduated with honors from Chittenango High School and went onto get his Bachelor’s Degree in computer science from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY. Erik worked for the Harris Corporation for over 31 years as a Software Engineer/Analyst.
In addition to his wife and mother, Erik is survived by his daughter, Nicole Kathryn Frank, a son, Jonah Kennedy Frank, a step-daughter, Blake Whitney Driskill and her husband, Ryan, a step-son, Greyson Lee Taylor, four step-grandchildren, Ruth Isabella Wright, Charles Grael Patterson Wright, Reid Driskill, and Jackson Driskill, and a brother, Thomas S. Frank, Jr.
Erik loved his savior passionately. He had a servant’s heart. He expressed love through serving the church, especially in the area of children’s ministry. Erik’s devotion to his wife was impeccable and evident to all who knew them. Beyond that his love for his children and grandchildren was deep and never ending. Erik and Lorri’s friends were family, there is no length he wouldn’t go for them. Erik was humble, gentle, stoic, forgiving, and a peace maker. Those who knew him will forever be changed by his spirit. Family, close friends, co-workers, and church members are invited to a visitation from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, November 12, 2018 at Pate Chapel at Thomas Road. A celebration of Erik’s life will be follow at 7:00 PM on Monday, November 12, 2018 at Pate Chapel at Thomas Road with Pastor Luis Nodal officiating.
Memorial contributions may be in honor of Erik and his family to American Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Road, Suite 106A, Roanoke, VA, 24018.
The family would like to extend their special thanks to Dr. Kevin Patel and Dr. Linda Beahm and all the nurses at the Pearson Cancer Center, Guggenheimer Nursing Home and especially home care nurses Courtney and Shelby, for the compassion and care provided to Erik during this journey. And of course to all the loving friends who have been there through thick and thin, and continue to be.
