Erlangen “Ellen” Bartlett, 63, of Altavista went to be with the Lord on January 2, 2015. She was the loving wife of Gary B. Bartlett.
Ellen was born on January 27, 1951 in Manhattan, NY a daughter of the late Tony Devito and the late Anna Frida Devito. She worked as an Assistant Branch Manager for Sun Trust Bank and was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters; Christina Ford of Beaufort, SC, and Michele Pittard – USN Fleet Japan, three step-daughters; Melissa Young of Appleton, ME, Michelle Esterline of Madison Heights, and Heather Pillai of Forest, three grandchildren, twelve step-grandchildren, one brother Anthony Devito of Las Vegas, NV, and one sister Debbie Torturo of Long Island, NY.
A Celebration of Ellen’s Life will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday January 6, 2015 in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
