Erna Tuck Creasy, 92, of Lynchburg, passed away January 10, 2010. She was the wife of the late Hughey Vernon Creasy. Born August 22, 1917 in Huddleston in Bedford County, daughter of the late John Davis Tuck and Addie White Tuck.
She is survived by a daughter, Connie Stephens and husband, Bob Stephens of Huddleston, Va.
Mrs. Creasy was a faithful and devoted member of College Hill Baptist Church for many years. She was a member of the Choir, Exclusion Sunday School Class, member of the W. M. U. and an ordained deaconess. She worked with the Senior group, The Happy Hilltoppers of the church. She worked as a Park Director with the Lynchburg Parks and Recreation
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
She is also survived by four grandchildren: Elizabeth Burns of Madison, MS, Robert B. Stephens, IV, Huntsville, AL, Jennifer Wilson, Madison, MS, David Stephens, Huntsville, AL; eight great-grandchildren and a dear friend, Louise Daniels of Lynchburg.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at College Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Andrew P. Grose officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
