Bootsie Wayne Kidd, 70, of Monroe passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021. He was the devoted husband of Valerie Morris Kidd.
Bootsie was born May 31, 1951, in Lynchburg a son of the late Archie Kidd and Lorine Hargis Kidd. Bootsie owned and operated Wayne Kidd, Inc. in Madison Heights.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters: Morgan Kidd (Chase Powers) of Monroe, and Jenny Cash of Lynchburg, a sister Sandra Kidd Coffey (Andrew Coffey) of Madison Heights, two grandchildren, Sophia Powers and Parker Cash, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Bootsie’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2021, in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg with Carl Saunders officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
The family would like to give a special thanks to his physicians and to everyone for the visits, phone calls, notes, texts, and expressions of love.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider the American Cancer Society or Central Virginia Regional Rescue, P.O. Box 2172 Forest, VA 24551.
