Estella Ligon Milton
Estella Ligon Milton (Stella), 69, of Lynchburg, VA went into Jesus\"™ arms on January 14, 2013. She was born in Lynchburg, VA on November 3, 1943. She was the daughter of the late Reverend Leonard Ligon and Dora Ligon.
Stella is survived by her husband of 50 years, Kenneth L. Milton. She is also survived by her three children, Colonel Kevin W. Milton (spouse Christie), Todd L. Milton (spouse Elizabeth), and Tracey M. Turner (spouse John); five grandchildren: Jonathan Milton, Teresa Ringle, Elliot Milton, Samuel Milton, and Brayden Turner; two great grandchildren: Alonna Ringle, Madylin Ringle. She is also survived by a sister, Jewel Maul, and a brother, Leonard Ligon, Jr. (Buddy). She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Ligon.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Tharp Funeral Home and Crematory, 220 Breezewood Drive, Lynchburg, VA 24502. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am, Friday, January 18, 2013 at Tharp Funeral Home and Crematory with Dr. Rusty Small officiating. Graveside will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery.
The family suggests that those wishing to make memorials consider a donation to the American Cancer Society, 2050 Langhorne Rd., Suite 201, Lynchburg, VA 24501 to honor Stella's devotion to her husband.
