A native of Rochester, NY, Mrs. Davidson was born October 14, 1946, as the youngest of the three daughters of the late Emily Margaret Winters Jackson and William Wiley Jackson of Rochester. She was the beloved wife of the Rev. Charles N. Davidson, Jr., of Lynchburg, and also the beloved mother of Steven Louis Jackson of Charlotte, NC, and Alexander Bernard Jackson of Columbus, OH.

In addition to her husband and sons, she is survived by her sisters Ann Jackson of Paso Robles, CA, and Mary Fiordeliso of Rochester, NY; three grandsons, Sievey Kole Jackson and Trey Hunter Jackson of Charlotte, and Cameron Alexander Jackson of Columbus; a stepson, Mark Fields Davidson of Boston, MA, and stepdaughter, Katherine Christine Davidson of Louisville, KY; and nieces, Rebecca Weill of San Francisco and Danielle Elkins of Rochester.

A graduate of New Mexico Highlands University, Mrs. Davidson had a long nursing career in home health and mental health, as well as a nurse with Hospice of Marion County, Ohio, and Centra Hospice of Lynchburg. For the past eleven years she had a private practice as a nurse-massage therapist in Lynchburg and Black Mountain, NC, where she and her husband planned to retire.

The family wishes to express gratitude to the many persons who supported Mrs. Davidson throughout her illness, especially Dr. Dwight Oldham and the oncology staff of the Alan B. Pearson Cancer Center, the staff of Centra Hospice, and numerous physicians, nurses, and staff of the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Mt. Zion, IL.

Mrs. Davidson was a member of First Christian Church, where a service in celebration of her life will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, December 28, in the sanctuary at 3109 Rivermont Avenue, with the Revs. Ross Mackenzie, Herb Moore, Walter Smith, and Charles Willoughby participating. Friends will be greeted afterwards in Snidow Fellowship Hall. A private interment of ashes will take place at Spring Hill Cemetery prior to the church service.
