Eugene Harold Peterson, Iii
Eugene Harold “Hal” Peterson III departed this life peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, May 28, 2014. He was born in Syracuse, New York to Gladys Hamner Peterson and the late Eugene Harold Peterson Jr. He lived and worked in the Lynchburg area for more than thirty years.
Hal is survived by his wife, Hyris; his children, Dane Peterson, and Dava and Rob Parrish; his mother Gladys; sisters Nancy and Robert Meyer and Patricia and Gordon Freeman; other relatives and many friends. He will be deeply missed by all. Hal loved his family, his dogs, the outdoors, puns and practical jokes- his sense of humor was legendary.
The family will receive friends at Tharp Funeral Home on Breezewood Drive in Lynchburg on Saturday, May 31, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
