Eunice Mae Hudson Carwile, 87, of Lynchburg, VA, died Wednesday, November 18, 2015. She was the wife of the late Aubrey Brightwell Carwile.
Born Tuesday, September 04, 1928 in Lynchburg, Eunice was a daughter of the late Richard Daniel Hudson and the late Irene Virginia Morris Hudson.
In addition to her husband and parents, Eunice was preceded in death by a sister Mildred Pillow.
Eunice is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Dunn and her husband, Mike, grandchildren, Chad Dunn and his wife, Frances, Ryan Dunn and his wife, Dayna, and Jenna Dunn, great grandchildren, Ella and Charlotte Dunn, brothers, Sherwood Hudson and his wife, Mary, and Clyde Hudson and his wife, Shirley. Eunice is survived by many other dear cousins, nieces and nephews.
Eunice was retired from clerical employment and enjoyed her retirement years with her family on out of town trips and summer vacations. She was also active in her church choir and the musical productions performed by the choir until her health prohibited participation.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory. A celebration of Eunice’s life will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Vernie Barrow, Jr., and Chaplain Justin Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
