Eunice Daniel Mason

Eunice Daniel Mason, 96, of Lynchburg went to be with her Lord and Savior who she faithfully served on Sunday, June 15, 2025. She was the loving wife of the late Paul Glenwood Mason for 68 years.

Eunice was born in Campbell County, Virginia on November 25, 1928, a daughter of the late Carlton Herbert Daniel and Frances Plymale Daniel. Eunice was a 1947 graduate of Brookville High School and was a member of Jubilee Baptist Church (formerly known as Mount Vernon Baptist Church). She was retired as a manager in the Interior Decorating Department with Sears & Roebuck Company and from Southland Colonial Galleries. Eunice also owned and operated her own interior design business, Custom Interiors.

She is survived by her children: Anne Laird (Del) of Lynchburg, John Mason of Concord, David Mason (Linda) of Rustburg, and Carol Clemenson (Greg) of Forest, nine grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Frances Dickerson, Lois Brookman, Irene Torrence, and Carlton Daniel.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg.

A Celebration of Eunice’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2025, in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg with the Rev. Roger Childress officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
