Eva Lois Markham Coffey, 90, of Bedford, passed away on November 7, 2016.
She was the loving wife of the late George Pernell Coffey. She is also preceded in death by a daughter: Marilyn Joyce Witt.
Born on February 16, 1926 in Big Island she was a daughter of the late Harry S. and Lula Bullis Markham. She retired from General Electric and was a member of Timber Ridge Baptist Church.
Eva is survived by her son: Dennis Coffey and wife, Cathy; daughter: Shirley Johnson and husband, Robert; grandchildren: Michael Coffey and wife, Lisa, Christina Coffey Creasy, Kerry Gilmurray, Andy Johnson and wife, Theresa, Travis Johnson, Greg Watson and wife, Michelle, Joyce Hall; sisters: Mary Davis, Phyllis Robertson; 17 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews; and her loving dog Snoopy.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Tharp Funeral Home with Pastor Phillip Kelley officiating. Interment will follow at Virginia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, November 9, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and other times at the residence.
Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford, is assisting the family.
