Evelyn Ann Taylor Watson, 77, died Monday, May 02, 2011. She was the loving wife of the late Robert Levi Watson.
Born in Lynchburg, July 11, 1933 she was a daughter of the late Daniel Lee Taylor, Jr and Annie Clare Taylor. Ann was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church and was one of the first female draftsmen for Wiley and Wilson.
She is survived by three daughters, Clare Robertson and husband Glen of Huddleston, Suzanne Watson and Gene Edens of Lynchburg, Reba Gurdal and husband, Robert of Forest; a son, R. Edward Watson and wife, Alice of Rustburg; a brother, Daniel L. Taylor, III and wife, Evelyn of Lynchburg; nine grandchildren, Kathleen, Stuart, Julia, Robert, Aerin, Alan, James, Edison, Jacob; one great-grandchild, Kailyn.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Paul Robert Gurdal and a sister, Brainard Phelps.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday May 4, 2011 at her son\"™s residence, R. Edward Watson at 2250 Browns Mill Rd. Rustburg, VA 24588.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday May 5, 2011 at Bethesda United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tammy Franklin officiating. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
