Evelyn Brandt

Evelyn Louise Hogaboom Brandt, 83, of Bedford, went to be with the Lord Monday, February 15, 2016. She was the loving wife of the late William Lloyd Brandt for 64 years.Born in Port Arthur, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Stephen Rice Hogaboom and Ollie Frances Smith Hogaboom. Louise worked as a missionary spreading the word of God in Brazil for 40 years.Louise is also preceded in death by her brother: James Rice Hogaboom; one sister, Wilma Ruth Hogaboom McBride; brother-in-law: James Howard Brandt; and son-in-law: Daniel Frederick Pettman.Louise is survived by her son: Robert Rice Brandt and wife, Rosilania, of Brazil; daughters: Grace Evelyn Pettman of Bedford; Alma Ruth Waskey and husband, David, of Bedford; Betty Jean de Oliveira and husband, Luciano, of Brazil; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister: Jean Hogaboom Stemmons of Beaumont, Texas.A funeral service will be conducted at Tharp Funeral Chapel, Bedford, on Saturday, February 20, 2016, at 11 00 a.m. with Rev. Ron Cox officiating.
