Evelyn Clark Eagle
Evelyn Clark Clay Eagle, 76, of Lynchburg died Sunday May 20, 2012. She was the loving wife of Lloyd F. Eagle for 56 years.
Evelyn was born on March 19, 1936 in Halifax, a daughter of the late Norman George Clay and Melissa Brown Clay. Evelyn was retired from Dale Garment and Courtland Manufacturing after many years of service.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her son Mike Eagle and wife Diane of Forest, her daughter Vickie Yost and husband Wendell of Lynchburg, two grandchildren; Gene Yost and wife Alison of Lynchburg; and Becky Epperson and husband Brandon of Rustburg, two great grandsons: A.J. Yost and Cameron Epperson, a sister Allene Williams of Gladys, and a brother Norman G. Clay, Jr. of Brookneal and her devoted cat \"PeeWee\".
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother J.P. Clay, and four sisters: Adell Clay, Mary Johnson, Lilly Martin, and Jenny Burnette.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight Tuesday May 22, 2012 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg and all other times at her daughter\"™s residence: 2187 Waterlick Road Lynchburg.
A Celebration of Evelyn\"™s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday May 23, 2012 in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg with the Rev. Carlton Duck officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
