Everett Roosevelt “Johnny” Tomlin, Jr., 73, of Bedford left his temporary home and entered into his eternal home on June 12, 2018 while surrounded by his loving family, while at Oakwood Manor health and rehab. He was born on July 17, 1944 in Bedford, VA in the John Russell Hospital. He was the son of the late Everett Roosevelt Tomlin, Sr. and Edith Pendergrass Tomlin.
Johnny enjoyed playing pranks on people. He was a very happy natured individual who loved looking at beautiful women. He worked for the waste water treatment with the City of Bedford and also worked previously with Rubatex Corp.
Johnny was survived by his sisters, Dianne T. Wingfield and her husband, Richard and Gayle Kiger and her husband, Doug; three nephews and two nieces.
The family wishes to thank the nursing staff and Dr.’s at Oakwood Manor Health and Rehab for their love and compassion during the last few years. They would also like to thank a very special caregiver Crystal Bell for all her love for Johnny. Johnny wanted to thank all of his wonderful friends throughout the years for being loyal and caring. He Loved each of you so.
