On July 14, 2019, the Lord welcomed our mama inter her eternal home.
Faith Bell Howard was born March 11, 1956, in Lynchburg, Virginia. Her parents Glenmore Jackson “Toby” Bell, Grace Branham Bell, her oldest sister Phyllis Viar, as well as her husband WD Howard precede her in death.
Faith is survived by her daughter, Amy Connelly (Jason); son, Nathan Brightwell, and stepson, Dustin Howard (Amanda); her brother-in-law Shelton “Sonny” Viar; five grandchildren, Trace, Ryan, and Kelsey Connelly, Toby Brightwell and Camden Howard; her sister, Sandra Wilkes (Roger); brother, Steve Bell; nieces, Kym Bell, Christie Viar, Donna Kay Viar, and Kathy Camire; nephews, Mark Viar, Jeff Viar, and Greg Wilkes, and a host extended family and friends.
Faith was employed over 30 years as a Lynchburg City Schools bus driver. She was of Monacan Indian descent and very proud of her Native American heritage.
Amy and Nathan would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Faith’s devoted friend, Mitchell Johns, who was there for her every need after the passing of her husband WD. We greatly appreciate all you did for her.
A service to remember her life will be held on Tuesday July 23, 2019 at Tharp Madison Heights. Visitation begins at 1p.m. with the service beginning at 2p.m. Friends and family can gather at the home of her daughter, Amy Connelly, after the service.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Madison Heights, is assisting the family.
