Faye Carroll Guill

Faye Carroll Guill, 84, of Lynchburg, passed away peacefully on Mother’s Day, Sunday May 8, 2016.
Born on January 2, 1932, in Pennsylvania Co., Mrs. Guill was the eldest child of the late Robert and Ethel Godsey and sister to the late Larry Godsey.
Faye graduated from E.C. Glass High School and Phillips Business College. Her career included working in the circulation department of the News & Advance, as well as serving as a Direct Mail Specialist for Technical Services Group. She was an accomplished painter and gardener.
She is survived by her beloved husband of more than 60 years, Wesley Guill; her two children: Cynthia A. Guill-Reinhold, and Robert Gordon Guill and his wife Kristi Dawn Guill; her two grandchildren: Arthur Reinhold and Jakob Guill.
A celebration of Faye’s life will be held Wednesday May 11, 2016 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg from 5 to 7 p.m. A private interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made in Faye’s name to the Lynchburg Humane Society.
