Our love, Faye Darlene Wertz, 66, of Lynchburg, passed away the morning of Monday, January 29, 2018.
Faye was born in Salem, Va., and was the daughter of Evelyn Firestone Wertz and Joseph Edward Wertz.
She is survived by her brother, Murrell Wertz and his wife, Martha; her nephew, Kevin Slusher and his wife, Shawna; and two adored great-nephews, Kollin and Riley. She was preceded in death by a nephew, Michael Wertz.
She attended schools in Salem, Roanoke, and Clifton Forge. She was employed as revenue coordinator in material management for Centra Health for 32 years.
Faye loved going to the beach to visit life-long friends Edith Wright; Jennifer and Glen Hussman; Anita and Bob Ryan and their amazing daughter, April Gailas. Her dear friends in Lynchburg included Judy and Ed Martin; Sharon and Greg Lewis; Jan and R.D. Couch; Lenora Williams; Lloyd Hartless; Pete and Lawanna Holman; and her boyfriend and fiancé George Kelly.
Faye’s request was to be cremated and a celebration of her life will be set for Monday, February 19, 2018.
A special appreciation is given to Centra and Centra Hospice in our time of need.
