Faye P. Burnett

Faye Patterson Burnett, 80, of Lynchburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2014. She was born in Lynchburg on April 4, 1933, the only child of Kenith and Thelma Patterson. She and her husband, Eugene Franklin Burnett, raised three children and were married for nearly 45 years. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a graphic artist for General Electric, Frank Wright Studios, and Babcock & Wilcox. She also was a well-known and active participant in the Lynchburg art community. Over her career as an artist, she was honored to present her paintings and other creative works at many local and regional art shows. She was a member of the Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church, where she taught art lessons to dozens of aspiring artists from the church and local community. She will be remembered lovingly for her care and concern for others, helping others to develop as artists, and for her enormous creative talent.

Faye is predeceased by her husband, Eugene Franklin Burnett. She is survived by one son, Kent Franklin Burnett, and two daughters, Linda Burnett Bush and Dana Burnett Chenault, a son-in-law, Michael Chenault, a daughter-in-law, Margaret Crosbie-Burnett, 8 grandchildren, Stephanie Mull, Leslie Hudson, Ginger Wold, Ryan Wheeler, Nicholas Burnett, Amy Bush, Jan Crosbie-Taylor, and Garrett Crosbie, and 8 great-grandchildren.
