Faye W. Leftwich, 69, of Thaxton, died Monday, February 9, 2015 at her residence. She was born January 20, 1946 in Roanoke, VA, a daughter of the late William McCabe Weddle and Mayme Lee Turner Weddle.
Faye was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. She loved shopping, dancing, gardening, going to the beach, eating out, and most of all spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara W. Jefferson. She is survived by her husband, Collins M. Leftwich; two daughters, Glenda Renae Leftwich and Carol Marie Leftwich; a brother, William Henry Weddle and his wife, Kaye; four grandchildren, Joshua McCabe Leftwich, Zackery Taylor Overstreet, Justin William Leftwich, and John Anthony Overstreet; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews; and special friends, Wanda Reynolds, Melissa Meador, Carolyn Anderson, Dana Foster, Brenda Carter, and Wilma Ferguson.

A celebration of Faye’s life will be conducted at 12 Noon, Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Tharp Funeral Home with Pastor Harry Leland officiating. Burial will follow in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens.
