Florence Gray Clark, 86, of Rustburg, died Monday, October 24, 2016. She was the wife of the late Clifton Ferrell Clark.
Born July 24, 1930 in Henderson, NC, Florence was a daughter of the late Herman Pegram and the late Elsie Short Pegram.
In addition to her husband and parents, Florence was preceded in death by a brother Isaac Pegram.
Florence is survived by her son, Steve and his wife, Amy. Grandchildren, Jason Tweedy (Annette), Sonya Campbell (Eric), Jessi and Stevi Clark, all of Rustburg. Great grandchildren, Baylee and Carter Tweedy, and AmyRyan and Evelyn Campbell. Siblings, Mae Brame (Sidney), Dick Pegram (Betty Jean), Pete Pegram (Joyce), Brantley Pegram (Marie), Linda Capps (Jimmy), all of Henderson, NC, sisters-in-laws, Shirley Pegram, of Henderson, NC, and Judy Gay Renn, of Virginia Beach.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A celebration of Florence’s life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October, 25, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Church in Concord with Pastor Chad Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Cumbie Memorial Cemetery in Rustburg.
