Florine Wells Arthur, 96, of Lynchburg, died peacefully, Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Runk and Pratt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Arthur, six brothers and three sisters.
Born July 3, 1920, in Cabell County, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Sun Wells and the late Nannie Roach Wells.
Florine attended St. Andrew Presbyterian Church.
Florine is survived by her son, James Douglas Arthur and his wife, Diann, of Forest, Va.; brother, Dorsel Wells of Huntington, W.Va.; a sister, Alice Loop of Ft. Myers, Fla.; two grandchildren, James D. Arthur, II and Eric C. Arthur; one great-grandchild, Brandon D. Arthur.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg with the Pastor David Etheridge officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to, St. Andrews Presbyterian Church
