Francene Brown Jackson

Francene Brown Jackson passed away peacefully in her home on October 29,2023 at the age of 74.

Born April 7,1949 in Lynchburg, Va to the late William Brown and Mary Wood Jones, she was also preceded in death by her Great Grandson Christopher Quarles Jr and her sister Brenda Watson.

She is survived by 3 children Lacy Jackson Jr of Candor, NC, LaShay Jackson Pinn of Lynchburg, Va and Lamont Jackson Sr of Candor, NC, 10 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren with a 6th to be born soon, A Son in law Samuel Pinn Jr, 2 Godsons, Lester McCray Jr and Brandon Franklin.  She is also survived by 6 sisters Carolyn High of Cary, NC, Yvonne Kiser (Robert) of Lynchburg, Va, Norma Brown of Lynchburg, Va, Mildred Turner of Madison Heights, Va, Clara Moore (Johnny) of Birmingham, Al, Lorna Jones of Madison Heights, 3 brothers all of Va, Ben Jones Jr, Raymond Jones, and Kenneth Jones. Many nieces, nephews, family, and friends, and caregiver, Tawanda Cheatham.

Sister Jackson was a faithful member of St James CME until her health begin to fail. She served on the several ministries including the Usher board, Trustee, and the Kitchen committee.

She will truly be missed and loved by all.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 12 P.M. at St. James CME, 280 Rockwell Road, Lynchburg, Va. 24501.
