Frances Cash Spencer, 83, of Bedford died, Tuesday, January 23, 2018.
Frances was born March 16, 1934 in Crewe, Va., a daughter of the late Oscar Littleton Cash and Lottie Stortz Cash. Frances was retired from Delta Star, Inc. after 31 years service and was a member of Fort Hill United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Michael B. Spencer and his wife, Cynthia of Forest; a grandson, Christopher M. Spencer and his wife, Susan of Lynchburg; one great-granddaughter, Hazel E. Spencer and six nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, William L. Cash, and one sister, Maxine C. Field.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff of English Meadows for their attention and care given to Frances during her time there as well as the staff of Good Samaritan Hospice.
