Frances Clyde Elliott Falls, 80, of Forest, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Bedford Co. Nursing Home. She was born in Lynchburg, VA on February 2, 1936. A daughter of the late Harry Taylor Elliott and Frances Clyde Marshall Elliott. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward Lewis Falls.
Frances loved her family dearly. She enjoyed spending time with them and also friends. She loved to cook, take care of her flower garden, gardening and was an avid Washington Redskins fan. She is a member of Oakland United Methodist Church, DAR and Daughters of the Confederacy.
She is survived by three children, Harry Lewis Falls and wife, Dawna, Marsha Falls Murphy and husband, Scott and John Falls and wife, Kim; four grandsons, Jonathon Lewis Falls, Scott Austin Murphy, Jackson Payne Murphy and Jack Lucas Falls; three granddaughters, Beth Falls Stanaland and husband, Blake, Emily Marie Falls and Courtney Elizabeth Falls; one sister, Edith Elliott; also numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes memorial contribution to be made to Oakland United Methodist Church, 2465 Goode Station Road, Goode, VA 24556 or Goode Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 178, Goode, VA 24556.
A funeral service and celebration of Frances’s life will be conducted at 10:00 am on Monday, October 3, 2016 at Tharp Funeral Chapel in Bedford with Rev. Donnie G. Glass officiating. Burial will follow in Virginia Memorial Park.
