Frances Cosgrove (née McIntyre) passed away on January 20th, 2021. She would have celebrated her 93rd birthday on January 29. Surviving are her daughter, Cathy Leigh Farthing and loving son-in-law, Randy Dale Farthing.
Also surviving are three grandchildren, Ian McIntyre Farthing (Angi Monroe) of Asheville, NC; Robert Hayes Farthing (Melisa Hitt) of Salem, VA and Sarah Farthing Smith (Aaron Smith) of Winston-Salem, NC. Missing her will be her three great-grandchildren, Charles William And Wyatt James Farthing and Hannah Ruth Smith.
Preceding her in death are her husband, Charles Robert Cosgrove, and her parents, Frederick Herman McIntyre and Blanche Burnett McIntyre. Brother F. Richard McIntyre and sister Delores M. Embler also passed on in recent years.
An outdoor memorial service will be held later on in springtime in Asheville, NC. A fixed date will be announced when arrangements are made.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to New Century Church in Roanoke, VA. Direct your gift in Frances’ name, to benefit the NCC Youth Building project.
