Frances Martin Wright, 86, of Lynchburg, died Friday, December 8, 2017.
Frances retired from C & P Telephone Company (Verizon) after 35 ½ years. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert A. Wright, Sr; a son, Keith A. Wright; a daughter, Lisa Gayle Wright; her parents, Bill and Mattie Martin; and a brother, John William Martin. Surviving are a son, Gilbert A. Wright, Jr.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her sisters, Norma Jean Markey and Vilma Graves; a sister-in-law, Betty Jean Martin.
Services will be held at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, at 12 noon on Monday, December 11, 2017, with Dr. Dennis Hollandsworth officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Roanoke, Va. at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. Visitation will be held at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 10, 2017.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beulah Baptist Church or Campbell County Rescue Squad.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Kim and John Moisa and their staff at Noah’s Landing for their loving and tender care.
