Frances Mcknight Weaver

Frances Elizabeth McKnight Weaver, 83, of Lynchburg passed away Monday, February 03, 2014. Born January 4, 1931, in Fries, VA; she was the daughter of the late Thomas Hale McKnight and Lydia Mae Hampton McKnight.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Junius Vaden \"Buck\" Weaver and her sister, Georgia Lee Cunningham. She is survived by her children, Martha Ann Weaver Campbell (David) of Lynchburg, VA, Mary Elizabeth Weaver Adams (Rick) of Richmond, VA and Joseph David Weaver (Karen) of Powhatan, VA. She is also survived by her brother, Gene Thomas McKnight (Martha); her grandchildren, Regan Campbell Freeman (Chad), Tyler Everett Adams, Matthew Joseph Adams, Harrison Vaden Adams and Christa Lauren Weaver; and her two great-grandsons, Hampton and Hudson Freeman.

We find Peace in knowing that our mother was ushered into the Kingdom of God and no longer has to deal with the suffering she has endured since 2004 with dementia. She is where she wanted to be – and we, her children, though saddened for our loss, rejoice in her gain and feel such peace in knowing where she is. We will miss her but she leaves such a legacy for her children, grandchildren and those who knew her of the power of prayer, and the saving knowledge of His Grace and Forgiveness.

 A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 7, 2014, at Beulah Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Dennis Hollandsworth officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and at a reception at the church following the memorial service. A private interment will be held at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
