Frances Sprouse Jordan, 94, of Lynchburg, passed away, February 19, 2018. She was the wife of the late Edward Franklin Jordan.
She was born in Lynchburg on May 9, 1923 the daughter of the late Lynwood Sprouse and the late Gertrude Sprouse Sprouse.
Frances retired from General Electric, was a member of Memorial Christian Church, and was a member of Moose Lodge #715 where she held many positions. Everyone knew she had a green thumb with one look at her beloved roses.
In addition to her parents and spouse she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Herman Sprouse.
She is survived by her devoted niece, Diane Tucker, and her family of Lynch Station, Va., along with many cousins and loving friends.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Tharp Funeral Home Chapel, Lynchburg.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Tharp Funeral Home Chapel, with the Reverends Virgil and Sue Knipp officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Memorial Christian Church, 615 Perrymont Ave. Lynchburg, Va. 24502 or Moose Lodge No #715, 2307 Lakeside Drive, Lynchburg, Va. 24502.
