Francis Eugene \"Gene\" Bacon, 64 of Lynchburg, formerly of Woodbridge, died on Sunday, July 08, 2012 at Virginia Baptist Hospital in Lynchburg. Gene was born on May 12, 1948 in Lynchburg the son of June Kittelson Bacon of Lynchburg and the late Thomas Eugene Bacon, Jr..
In addition to his mother, Gene is survived by his sister Amy Morris Mays and husband, Larry; his nephew Robert W. Morris, III; and his niece, Maria Morris Leverich and husband, Michael and their son, Eli. In addition to his father he was predeceased by his grandparents, Thomas E., Sr. and Rebecca Bacon and Alvin and Pauline Kittelson.
Gene graduated from Woodson High School in Fairfax County, VA and Salem College in Clarksburg, WVA. He lived and worked in Northern Virginia most of his life. He worked thirty-three years for First Virginia Bank until it became BB&T retiring as second vice president.
Private family services will be held at a later time.
