Francis Joseph Randazzo
Francis Joseph Randazzo, 91, of Bedford, died Saturday, June 30, 2012. Born January 30, 1921 in New York, NY; he was the son of the late Joseph Randazzo and Pearl Bogart Randazzo and thehusband of the late Dorothy Greene Randazzo.
Francis served during WWII in the Army Air Corp. He was a retired FAA Radar Chief at Apple Orchard Mountain.
In addition to his parents and wife, Francis was preceded in death by a sister, Elsie Randazzo and adaughter-in-law, Teresa Jackson Randazzo. He is survived by his children;Theresa R. Roberts and husband, George, and their daughter, Laura Clark and her husband, Teddy; Donna Bradsher and husband, Gary, and their daughter Melissa Bright and her husband, Jim; Joseph Randazzo and wife, Linda, and his daughter Alicia Randazzo; Stephanie Schall and husband, Harold, and her son C.J. Baker,III; and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bedford Hospice, 1621 Whitfield Drive, Bedford, VA 24523 or to Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, 1307 Oakwood Street, Bedford, VA24523.
A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 1 PM, Friday, July 6, 2012 at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church with Father Salvador Añonuevo officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford. Arrangements by Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, 540-586-3443.
