It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frank David Szabo, 71, of Evergreen. His final days were spent surrounded by his loved ones.
Frank is survived by his wife, Kathy; two sons, Philip (Rosie) and Frank of NC; two step-daughters, Jennifer McBride (Tom) of Madison Heights and Amie Austin (William) of Richmond; five grandchildren, Katie Ruberg, Lauren McBride, Jackson and Eva Szabo and Elena Austin; three sisters, Dianne Bailey (Glenn), Marybeth Kelly (Ken) of NJ and June Plunkett of Lynchburg.
Frank was a proud Marine and a Vietnam War Veteran. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Frank had a talent for making friends wherever he went.
The family will celebrate his life in a private memorial at a later date.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
