On Sunday, April 24, 2022, God in his infinite wisdom and divine love took the hand of Frank Steve Morgan to his eternal home, at the Lynchburg General Hospital, Lynchburg, Virginia. He was born on May 21, 1945, in Campbell County to the late Frank Morgan and Rosa Lee Graves Morgan.
At an early age he joined the Hills Creek Baptist Church, Gladys Virginia and remained a member until his death.
He graduated from Campbell County High School. After Graduation he joined the United States Navy.
After returning from the navy, he attended the Johnson Business School in Washington, DC.
In 1969 he was united in Holy Matrimony to Bertha Clark. To this united four sons, Steven Jr., Bryant, Warrick, and Andre.
He retired from BWX, Lynchburg, Virginia with 39 years He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife of 53 years, Bertha Morgan of the residence; four sons, Steven Jr. (Christy) Morgan of North Carolina, Bryant Morgan of Lynchburg, VA, Warrick (Kimberly) Morgan of Lynchburg, VA and Andre (Sarah) Morgan of Lynchburg, VA; one sister, Martha Payne of Alexander, VA; two brothers, Victor Morgan of Canada, and Michael Morgan of Fredericksburg, VA; Nineteen grandchildren, Five great-grandchildren; Mother-in-law, Mrs. Doris Clark; two brothers-in-law, Larry Clark of Rustburg, VA, and Knohia Wilson of Altavista, VA; two sisters-in-law, Sandra Morgan of Fredericksburg, VA, and Janice Marshall of Rustburg, VA; one uncle, Melvin Graves of Lynchburg, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, others relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. He will lie in repose Saturday, April 30, 2022. The family will receive friends Friday, April 29, 2022, at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg from 5 to 7 p.m.
